[olympics, over.]

The olympics are over. Wow, that seemed so fast. It's hard to realize that the next summer olympics are gonna happen after we graduate from high school. London 2012. Anyone want to go with me?

ASB retreat's the day after tomorrow, and I'm looking forward to it! (: But I'm seriously like going to die because of the weather. I don't really like having my skin burn in 100 degree weather. And I also don't like it because that I'm not going to be able to compare schedules with everyone else on pickup day. D:

Anyways, my posts I realized are getting shorter and shorter. Like someone else's. ;D

I'll try to post longer when school starts.

[i'll run away with you by my side]

Short post today. And very simple.

Go listen to Echo by Trapt. That's my new favorite song. Seriously, power ballads ftw.

And goodbye to my cousins from Toronto. See you guys next year!

[back from sequoia. vidlogs!]

Hey everyone...Sequoia was great. Trees everywhere, mountains, fresh air...

That's right. When we got there, we found out that Sequoia National Park actually has THE WORST air quality of all National Parks. I didn't really notice, but apparently the people near us from Utah did. But then I remembered that I live in LA.

Hmm...what did I learn there.

- All food MUST go into these big metal bearproof boxes. We don't want the bears coming and visiting us at night.

- When smooth rocks are wet, don't step on them. I slipped. Watch VidLog #7 and you'll see what I mean.

- Don't smoke when there's dry grass everywhere. Apparently, someone threw out a cigarette butt and started a forest fire that started today. Retard.

- My whole family is pretty racial-IST. [Watch VidLog #1]

We saw these Jews on the trail...ORTHODOX jews. With all the braids and the beards and stuff. Me and my cousins started laughing so hard when we saw them..[we're sad, sad, racial-ist people.]

-YouTube sucks in that the interestinger videos in my VidLog [#3 & #7] load ridiculously slow. So..just open those and let them load I guess. =/ Sorry.

And finally, here's the link to the 11 videos in the VidLog:

VidLog!

Enjoy!

[it's been a while & leaving for sequoia.]

I haven't posted in a while, and there wasn't much to talk about. I'm leaving for Sequoia soon, and I don't really have a brain right now to think [it's 3am.]

I'll try to post more when I get back, and I might be able to get on the internet if there's magically Wi-Fi in the woods. [There was Wi-Fi when we went camping up in Morro Bay. Which was weird since everything around us was like trees and tents, and then BAM there's Wi-Fi.]

I'm not sure if I'll get cell phone reception up there, but I know the city of Visalia, CA [entrance to Sequoia] has reception, so I'll try to call there I guess when we're going around. Who knows, I might end up going to Fresno just to see how it's like.

Anyways, bye guys. (: GARAGE SALE TOMORROW. Make sure to make lots of money!

[reminiscing, remembering, & rattle shoes]

Today I was at a funeral, and like it was really amazing. The person that passed away was the founding pastor's wife of my church. The part that really was amazing is the fact that her life touched so many people at my church. The part that made me almost cry though was the part where the pastor came up to the podium and gave the prayer for everyone to leave, and he was like "thank you for making her beautiful, thank you for giving her to me for 60 years...and then he just broke down and started crying."

Dang, I started really thinking about life after this service.

If you didn't realize this, we have no idea when we're going to die, honestly. For all I know, as I'm typing this, a sniper could be aiming for my head and I could die within the next 10 seconds. Or someone could ram into my car tomorrow as I'm headed to the NSO meeting [go by the way, 1:30pm @ ASB room]

But honestly, we should live every day as if it's a gift.

Okay that was pretty deep. Shallow noninformative part follows on the bottom.

I really want to upgrade my iPhone software to 2.0 through iTunes, but I can't because it's hacked. D: I'm still stuck with 1.1.4 and I really want to upgrade it. There's a pretty cool feature on iPhone 2.0 called "Remote" that basically lets you control your entire iTunes library just by using your phone. So basically, if you don't want to get out of bed but you want to put on a song on your computer speakers, grab your iPhone, tap any song, let's say "The Red" by Chevelle and then it'll play on your computer speakers instantly. If that's not nifty and useful, I don't know what is.

The Remote feature works on both the iPhone and the iPod Touch. Unfortunately, for those of you using the iPod Touch, it costs $20. For us iPhone users, it's free. (:

But then us iPhone users get screwed over with the horrible external speakers and recessed headphone jack [meaning you can only use the white Apple headphones].

Anyways, tell me which of my posts that you've liked the best so far. I want to make my blog more fun an interesting to read rather than a "skim the first paragraph, ignore the rest."

[my foot is crying.]

So I stayed up til about 3:30am because I couldn't sleep last night..I just laid in bed and stared at the wall. AND THEN, out of a random thought...I remembered it was Tuesday.

Tuesday's the day that Rock Band's downloadable content comes out.

So I decided to go downstairs and download the stuff, played BYOB. After I finished, my foot started crying. Do you know what it feels like to hit 4 bass notes every second? It makes your foot weep.

And then, yeah, I've been pretty depressed lately. There's a lot of stuff that's been going on, and then a piece of information that I got yesterday just made it a bit worse. I'll give the specifics of it later. This is actually a pretty early post in my book. x)

[vicious.]

Went to Tony's house for planning on the NSO skit. His dog. Looks so innocent, it's white. But inside, it just wants blood. My blood, specifically. It scratched me under my nail and it started bleeding. -.-

Short post today. I'll post some more tomorrow. (:

[redone living room.]

My whole living room today got shifted around. Basically if you've been to my house before, we turned all the couches and sofas around so that they're facing the dining room, and the TV is where the long couch used to be. Actually, I love this new setup because it makes a lot more sense and it makes the room look more homey.

Also, I brought down my stereo speakers that I haven't used [they're oldish, but they're still really good quality sound and there's a bass that's hella LOUD.] and took them downstairs, hooked them up to my TV, popped in my OneRepublic CD into my Xbox 360, and then I listened and I'm like "Holy shit. Why haven't I done this before." So yeah. It was like BOOM LOUD and AMAZING SOUND. So I'm leaving my stereo speakers downstairs. Haha and now, I have a stereo with no speakers. But it has a broken CD player anyways, and the radio sucks. I'd rather listen to online radio since KIIS and STAR both have online feeds. I just have both running at the same time and then switch between the two. (:

On a side note, I should start sleeping early. Like seriously.

[ikea likes to tempt you.]

So I went to IKEA today, and man, that place is honestly the best place to go when you're tired. But I really hate how they decide, "Hey, let's make these great kitchen displays that NO ONE is ever going to possibly have."

Seriously, those kitchens are so nice that I could live there. All they need is free Wi-Fi, and then I could seriously live there. Honestly, what else do you need? There's beds everywhere, couches, and a place on the 1st floor that sells incredibly good yet ridiculously cheap food. My family today, while we were there, bought 3 hot dogs, 3 cinnamon buns, 3 sodas, and a cup of coffee for $7. No that's not a typo, SEVEN DOLLARS bought all of that. It's incredible. Also, IKEA has this thing in the morning where they'll sell 2 strips of bacon and 2 scrambled eggs for 99 cents. It's like heaven for asians. Honestly, every time I go to IKEA I look forward to the food because it's actually REALLY good.

You've probably seen this from other places, either AIM or on my Facebook or just from me telling you, but the Light The Night Walk for Leukemia is on September 20th from 5-10pm at Angel Stadium. And basically it's a fun night of music, free food from Chick Fil A, and a two mile walk when we all carry balloons with lights inside. Supporters of leukemia get to hold red balloons, while survivors hold white ones. And afterward, it usually ends up turning into..semi-danceish? Because there's music. I remember last year hearing a lot of really good music. Anyways, here's the link if you want to register.

http://teams.lightthenight.org/WHSForJoyson

I'm encouraging you guys all to go and have a great time, and I want a lot of people to go, but remember guys, this is for leukemia. I dont want to be hearing all this crap about "lolcancer" and whatnot while we're walking. Kapish? (:

Lemme switch to my nerd mode for a second and tell you the downloadable songs for the week of August 5th for Rock Band:

System of a Down - B.Y.O.B
System of a Down - Toxicity
Buckcherry - Rescue Me
Motley Crue - Face Down In The Dirt
Sixx AM - Life Is Beautiful

I only know two of these songs, the two system songs. And OMG BYOB. That's going to be the hardest vocal song in the game, I can tell you now just by listening to it. Meanwhile, Paramore fans get That's What You Get in RB2 later, and Misery Business is apparently going to be DLC sometime later. Why don't they just release the entire Riot album on RB. >_>

So yeah, register for Light The Night guys!

Eightsix.

[dude, you just broke my guitar.]

My Guitar Hero guitar is still broken. It's BEEN broken ever since June 19th, 2008. Guess who broke it. I won't say the name to protect confidentiality, but she's somewhat vertically challenged, has damaged hair, and is a Jack Sparrow fanatic. PLEASE DONT KILL ME. (:

I need to go buy a replacement so that I can have an extra guitar for RB if people come over..-.-

On a sidenote, did you know that 35% of Los Angeles Unified School District students drop out of High School? Now what percent of that 35% are illegally here? Haha I'm gonna start inserting [psuedo-racism] whenever I say something like that now.

On another note, I just realized my iPhone's now outdated! You know what I realized about Apple? They're horrible on your soul. Seriously, there are two annoying companies in the world. Apple, and MySpace. I really think Tom should sell his soul to Satan to pay for better servers on MySpace. That way we won't get weird stuff.

Oh and YouTube, they do really well, except their entire staff is made up of highly trained monkeys. I want to work there so I can oust those primates and take their jobs.

Today, I was walking into my sister's room which is currently under "construction," aka repainting. And holy freak, I breathed in and I think I got high. Maybe. I'm not sure what it was, but it was like I felt lightheaded and started feeling like throwing up. ..so I ran back to my room. And yeah, I'm not gonna step in that room for a while because I don't want to be like Afroman.

NSO 2008 Entitled : Biff! Pow! Whitney! [September 3rd, 2008. Be there.]

[stricken, shaken, awakened.]

Wow. So I woke up at 11 this morning and I went downstairs and then all of a sudden I hear a sound that sounds like a truck is passing. And then like the ground starts feeling like I'm on a boat and I'm like freak...no way. And then my mom goes upstairs and shouts EARTHQUAKE GET DOWN to my brother and sister...and then we're just standing there waiting for the earthquake to stop.

Earthquakes are straight up California stuff, man.

Anyways, made a facebook for all you people who kept nagging me to make one. Go search me up. My name's short and sweet, and easy to type in. For all you people who have last names the length of Ron Jeremy's body part that I do not wish to type the name of because it could be inappropriate for the little 9 year olds reading my blog, I don't like typing your names to add you. Go back to your curry and leave us alone.

Now I'm gonna get comments like OH MY GOD JOSH IS RACIST. No, I'm not racist. I just like poking fun at blanket stereotypes. It's like saying all Chinese people get their last names from shaking pennies in a jar. No, it's not true. Ching, Ping, Ting, all those random ass last names from Chinese people ARE NOT from that. Those names are ACTUALLY created by taking a communist flag and using the pole to slit the throat of a second child born from a woman in China. [If you don't get that, brush up on your China knowledge.]

Also. Random news story of the day. It's so sadly ironic that it makes me want to laugh.

A man who was swimming in a river nicknamed "The River of Life" drowned yesterday. Read that again in case you didn't get it.

When I first heard that I was like wow. Common sense is dying. Just like how it's completely legal to TEXT and drive in California, but it's illegal to make phone calls. That's like putting a ban on knives, and promoting guns as a safe alternative.

Anyways, random stuff for today. Gimme comments and tell me if you read it all and your opinions on the stuff. (:

[another week's end]

This week went by pretty fast...and I'm pretty pissed off because my mom told me that we're probably not going to go with my cousins to go camping. Why? Well, it's because my cousin who apparently has hearing problems now [we just found out she's deaf in one ear] is coming here, and then like, we're going to not be able to go anywhere really this summer. -.-

And then on the other hand, I'm also mad because my mom refuses to let me quit piano even though I've completely lost interest in it. I mean, wouldn't you lose interest in something if you've already been playing it for 9 years?

And lastly, I want to know if you guys want me to start videoblogging instead of doing posts like this. Because honestly I think I could do better and have a videoblog instead of just posting text like this. Mhm, so yeah. Leave a text comment or something.

[one wall done]

There's one wall in my sister's room that's been completely stripped of wall paper. And right now, its FUGLY.

Remember people, tomorrow's IC meeting @ Heritage - 3pm.

Remember to pleasepleaseplease show up. We want you there (:

I found pictures of myself from when I was in the hospital. D: I see pictures of bandanas, and then now I'm wondering where the hell did they all go. >_> I don't think they're in my drawers anymore.

[read your week's worth]

Okay. So I guess I didn't do that good of a job at posting today. But this week was pretty hectic. A lot of classes & stuff to do.

ASB PEOPLE. IF YOU'RE READING THIS: I'm sorry I didn't go to the bake sale D: My dad was leaving for China today and I kinda wanted to spend my last day with him until he comes back in September. -.-

Anyways, I'm pretty happy that SAT is finally over. And honestly, I barely learned ANYTHING from that class. I think I'm probably going to end up taking another class for it some other time. -.-

Meanwhile, my sister's room is currently under construction...today she was in her room splashing vinegar on the walls and peeling the wallpaper off so we could repaint it. So yes, we're going to repaint the walls.

But anyways, I'm tired. I'll post some more tomorrow..I promise. (:

[Wall-E & A7X]

Wall-E's a pretty heartwarming movie (:

I've been listening to Avenged Sevenfold a LOT lately, you can blame Rock Band for the sudden increase [yes I'll admit it, that game is addicting. But I'm not the only one that thinks so ;D]

Anyways, I downloaded their whole new album & it's pretty good...there's this song that I really like called "Dear God" that's an acoustic song...

Dear God the only thing I ask of you is
to hold her when I'm not around,
when I'm much too far away
We all need that person who can be true to you
But I left her when I found her
And now I wish I'd stayed
’Cause I'm lonely and I'm tired
I'm missing you again oh no
Once again

Thinking of you.

[Week over.]

Wow. Half of the SAT class is finally over..thank God >_>

I've been like weirdish moodswinging recently because I've been pretty tired after SAT class...I've been going to bed around 1:30-2am every single day of summer...and it's been getting later and later.. IM TURNING NOCTURNAL.

Anyways, I'm off to bed. Tomrorow..movies. LATE. I'm gonna go do something first earlier..XD

Unless you guys want me to sneak in with you @ Hancock..XD

[I was doing so good..D:]

I was doing so good on posting...making it twice in a row..then I got busy. -.-

So yeah. I've been taking SAT classes with Alice Zuo @ Cerritos College.

Sucks, but at least I'm learning study tips. One of which might either send your parents into shock, extreme violence towards me, or grief:

It's okay to study with friends.

Holy crap. That's probably going to send blood running through all the veins of asian parents worldwide. The next thing that's gonna make their blood really boil...ready for this?

Studying is only worth something if you make it fun.

Studying? Fun? Impossible.

Unless you tack index cards every single place (including doors) you can find space to put them with vocab words, and agree not to open those doors until you can figure out the definition of that word. For some of you, you will be able to keep that and have it going right. For others of you, you might be stuck in your bedroom for quite some time.

Just found out that I'm going to be missing pickup day because of ASB retreat. Frak. I want someone to pick up my schedule for me, or at least have someone SHOW me it because I need to know who I have classes with..if we can manage to get back from Hemet by 4pm, we can go and pickup our schedules at least before the school closes down for the day.

There's a lot of you I really want classes with, some of you I've never had a class with my whole middle school life, some of you I've had a huge majority with. [I've never had someone with the exact same schedule...7th grade because you couldn't have, and 8th grade because no one was in Breik.] A huge majority of people that I really want classes with I don't know if I'm going to get classes with them, but I'm at least guaranteed classes with Emily Hwang, Emily Liang, and Joseph Pang.

I have a new word. My new word of the day and possibly week, month, year?

ROFLMUFFINS. It replaces ROFL, and it's more interesting and random.

By the way, for all of you who haven't had the glorious initiation into the world of LOLCATS,

Best site in the world if you like cats, and weird Engrish translations.

[VBS is over.]

Dang..whole freaking week was horrific...VBS every morning..I had to get up at 6:30 to get to my church by 8...and then it went until like 2 because I had to stay after and help with the cast to rehearse our little skits that we do each morning for the kids..

Mall tomorrow? My house is getting fumigated and I'm gonna have friends over tomorrow. ITS LIKE THAT BOTTOM LOCKER PLAY. =O

[reinstating.]

I've been bored lately. And I've noticed that on my blog I haven't updated in almost a month...so I think I'm gonna start blogging every day now because I end up being pretty bored most of the time.

I didn't realize how many people are in summer school until I realized that no one was on AIM the whole time. FREAKING NERDS D: You guys leave me all alone with no one to talk to...

I wanna go to the mall. Eh we're going on Saturday...I don't really want to spend money though...like I've spent a whole mess of money on stuff already..and I don't wanna do anything else.

Yesterday. 5pm-1am (:

What's up with me..I feel so emoish nowadays. Nothing ever goes on in my life..it's pretty boring D:

Wednesday, May 21, 2008

See what I meant about the other post? I was pretty sure that the blog was gonna semi-die before I even got to the second post.

Anyways..today was pretty boring. ID practice after school was good...but I really thought there was a lot of wasted time that could've been used for other stuff. Civil War test today during history..BLEH. I have a pretty bad feeling about that test.

I really don't know what I'm gonna do..I'm always tired and all this stuff going on isn't making it any better..
So I think I'm gonna go sleep. Tomorrow's a new day. A new day of the FIRST of three hell weeks, that is.

Saturday, May 17, 2008

Decided to make a blog.

Yes, I'm pretty surprised myself that I decided to make a blog. Hopefully this doesn't turn out like my Xanga and die like it did two years ago.. -.- Add that to the fact that I absoloutely SUCK at HTML and I don't know how to make layouts. *gasp*

Anyways...today was HOOOTTTT. Hot to the point that I couldn't sit on my couch for longer than five minutes because I started sweating. I had a family gathering today for my great-grandma's 104th birthday...Things that went on there were interesting..we took pictures but mostly everyone was just either eating or playing games. Guess who brought Guitar Hero. >_> So yeah..messed around with stuff then...but sorry to all you guys that I didn't go to ID practice...but I seriously don't do good with heat.. anything about 85 degrees is too much for me. I'll probably want to go to a college that's on the east coast because it's cold most of the time. (:

Anyways Social yesterday. 'Twas fun, yet the DJ made me sad.
Rules of thumb for upcoming DJs:
- Don't play a song without lyrics for longer than a minute.
- Don't play songs that no one knows or few people know
- Don't play Jump On It / Sexy Can I when NO ONE's on the dance floor
And finally..
- Don't ever, EVER play a shredding metal song that isn't even possible to dance to. You guys who went know what I mean.

Anyways..I'm gonna go practice THUNDER now. Still have problems memorizing lyrics for that AND my lines for Bottom Locker...so I better get started. (:
